Importing Goods into Saudi Arabia: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Before you ship

Confirm whether your products need SABER/SASO conformity certificates or special permits (for food, electronics, cosmetics and many regulated goods). Arranging conformity before shipping prevents goods being held at the port.

Step 2: Prepare your documents

You will need a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, and certificate of origin, plus any product-specific certificates. Make sure values, weights and HS codes are accurate and consistent across documents.
